The term CAR (Context-Aware Retrieval) here refers to a family of programs written in Java and which comprise a system, some demonstration files, and documentation. The documentation aims to facilitate:
1. the maintenance and further development of CAR software
2. researchers using the CAR system.
There are several sources of documentation
These provide background information and discussion leading up to design and implementation |
This provides information for researchers wanting to use the CAR system |
An overview of how the researcher can influence CAR execution with parameters, libraries, dynamic interfaces, and version control (supplement to User Manual) |
A description, with examples, of how to use the dynamic interface (supplement to User Manual) |
An introduction to the Bali environment, used in conjunction with the Dynamic Interface (supplement to User Manual) |
These provide detailed information for each of the implemented Java classes. |
Relevant cross-references and links have been provided within the documentation where possible.
