University of Exeter Weather Station
This website displays weather data from a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station (pictured, left) located on the roof of the Amory building on the University of Exeter's Streatham campus (map below). The variables measured include:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Wind speed and direction
- Rainfall
- Barometric pressure
Measurements began on Monday 15th March 2021 and the data are updated every minute. The station is slightly sheltered from the west by trees (around 35 metres away) and from the north east by the Amory building (around 15 metres away) so wind speeds may not always be reliable. To mitigate against the thermal effect of the building roof surface, the station is fitted with a daytime fan-aspirated radiation shield.
