Example 4: Uniform distribution

A random variable has a discrete uniform distribution over a set of values $ \{x_1, \ldots, x_k\}$ if each value is equally likely, that is $ \Pr(X = x_i) = 1/k$ for each $ i=1$, ..., $ k$. A simple example is the outcome from a roll of a fair, standard die.
