The proposed method was applied to two different types of dataset: one sythetic and one real. The pictures below show the results of applying the method to a real dataset; this dataset recording the movements of 480 ships in the SOlent over a twenty-four hour period. Please see Wood and Galton 2001 for more details about these images.
