Since 2006 I have been a part-time Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at the University of Exeter. This year (2010/11) I am ITMB Programme Lead and I am involved in the teaching of the following modules:

  • ECM1402 Computer Systems,

  • ECM1406 Data Structures and Team Project,

  • ECM3409 Commercial and Industrial Experience,

  • ECM3416 ITMB Individual Project,

  • ECM3419 ITMB Industrial Placement,

  • ECMM413 Ontology for Information Systems.

The topics that I have taught on these modules include assembly programming (MIPS architecture), Prolog, the Semantic Web, ontology alignment, regular expressions, formal specification using Z and algorithm complexity. This year I have supervised four third year projects and the teams undertaking ECM2413 (Design and Method for Software Engineering). In previous years I have also given introductory lectures in Natural Language Processing and Java.
